CR7 has won the Best International Athlete award.

Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo has scooped the ESPY Best International Athlete award. The Real Madrid forward was instrumental in Seleccao’s Euro 2016 triumph in France last weekend, despite failing to play for a full 90 minutes in the finals due to a knee injury in the first half.

He however played a crucial role on the touchline alongside coach Fernando Santos. The 31-year-old ex-Man United man could be seen issuing instructions to his teammates at the beginning of the extra-time, a performance that inspired them to victory over the hosts.
