Arsenal resumed their Premier League campaign on Saturday, taking on Leicester in a highly-anticipated clash in Matchweek 2 of the 2022/23 season. Despite their lack of signings over the summer, Brendan Rodgers' men remain a talented side, and thus Gooners were nervous for this encounter.
Arteta's side went in search of a second consecutive win this term, having beaten Crystal Palace 2-0 in their opening game, and had the home support to back them. And triumph, they did, beating the Foxes 4-2 in an entertaining 90 minutes of football.
And to no one's surprise, marque summer signing Gabriel Jesus was the man who stole the show as the Brazilian ace put in a Man of the Match display against the visitors. The former Manchester City ace came away with two goals and two assists all while terrorizing Rodgers' back line and nearly completing the hat-trick.
His two goals came in the first half, with his first effort in particular grabbing all the headlines. After peeling out wide and linking up with Martinelli and Zinchenko, Gabriel got on to the ball inside Leicester's penalty box and caressed the ball up and beyond Danny Ward, who was off his line. Check the goal in the clip below (video is geo-restricted).

Arteta's men would go on the score an additional two in the second half but showed lapse in concentration, thus conceding twice. The first came courtesy of a William Saliba own goal while James Maddison got on the scoresheet with a low and ferociously hit shot which crept between Ramsdale's legs.
