The visitors will be eager to bounce

Barcelona will host Granada on Monday night as they look to put last week's disappointment in the Champions League behind. Los Blaugrana were put to the sword in their opening group game against Bayern Munich, losing 3-0 inside Camp Nou as they continued life after Lionel Messi's departure to PSG.

There was a peculiar area of concern as throughout the proceeding, the Catalans could not register a single shot on target. Needless to say, they will be hopeful about their chances against Granada considering how impressive they have been in the start of the league campaign. Monday's encounter will be the club's fourth outing in the league, having managed two wins and a draw in the three games played so far.

They began the season with an emphatic 4-2 win over Real Sociedad before drawing 1-1 with Athletic Club. This was bettered with a 2-1 victory over Getafe before the collapse against Bayern Munich after their game with Sevilla was postponed. At the moment, tension is high in the Barca camp with rumors suggesting that club manager Ronald Koeman could be ousted as his relationship with his side's president Joan Laporta has hit a new low.

Needless to say, the Dutch coach will be focused on getting a sound footing on the league log with their rivals Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid already assuming commanding positions. The upcoming clash will also present Barca with the opportunity to avenge their surprise defeat to Granada when the two sides met at Camp Nou in a reverse clash last season.

Despite Lionel Messi opening the scoring for the host, Darwin Marchis and Jorge Molina ensured the three points went in favor of Robert Moreno's men. This, coupled with the fact that they have won two of their last four league encounters with the Catalans should give Koeman's charges enough reason to mount a proper contest and secure a favorable result.

Having ended the season on a high with four wins in their last four fixtures, Granada have now recorded two defeats and two draws in their first four games of the current league campaign. While it is early days yet, they sit just a point above the relegation zone with two points to show for.

They approach the game with Barcelona on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Real Betis, a game which could have also ended in a draw had it not been for Sergio Canales' scoring an 89th minute winner. A lot will be asked of them when they take on their opponents from Catalunya but Moreno and his men may fancy their chances of staging another upset against one of the favorites to win the league.
