Chelsea and Manchester City will lock horns in the FA Cup semis, with a coveted berth in this season's finals at stake.

Preview: Chelsea vs Manchester City

After a very successful week for both clubs in the Champions League, Chelsea and Manchester City will lock horns with a coveted spot in the FA Cup finals at stake. The Blues lost 1-0 at home to Porto, but it wasn't enough to help the Dragons overturn their 2-0 loss from the first leg, and Thomas Tuchel's men now have a deserved ticket to the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola's side earned a hard-fought 2-1 road win over Borussia Dortmund to win the series 4-2 on aggregate and now the decorated Spanish tactician will look to hopefully see his side past PSG in what looks set to be a highly entertaining two-legged affair.

Manchester City will be hoping to win four competitions this season: the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup, and the League (Carabao) Cup. In the first of these competitions, Guardiola's squad are well on course to get that done as they sit nine points ahead of Manchester United. That's despite suffering a recent 2-1 home loss to Leeds United.

Meanwhile, Chelsea suffered an embarrassing 5-2 loss to relegation-threatened West Brom but recovered well to crush Crystal Palace 4-1. They presently sit in fifth spot, one point behind West Ham who occupy the last Champions League berth. Of course, winning the Champions League would guarantee the Blues a place in the tournament for next season, but they'll need to dump Real Madrid out and then beat either PSG or Manchester City in this season's final to achieve that.

But first, Tuchel will want to pick up what would be his first piece of silverware with his new club. It obviously won't be easy. Chelsea have struggled against City in the past - especially in this competition. They've lost four of their last five FA cup meetings with the Citizens. Will they avoid another bad result, or will Guardiola's men win this game en route to setting things in motion for their much-sought after Quadruple?
