Nasser Al-Khelaifi spoke to the media after PSG sealed their spot in the semis and touched on the matter of Neymar and Mbappe's future.

Tuesday was an excellent night for PSG. While the French giants lost the second leg of their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal clash with Bayern Munich, the Ligue 1 heavyweights went through on aggregate and have now booked their spot in the semifinals.

Choupo-Moting scored the only goal of the game, netting shortly before half-time to give the Bundesliga champions a 1-0 lead. While Sane and Co. came knocking for a second goal, often coming close, the Germans were unable to find a second goal and thus crushed out on away goals, having lost 3-2 at the Allianz Arena in the first leg.

While only one goal was scored, do not let this fool you, as these two continental powerhouse played out a thrilling, action-packed 90 minutes. In fact, while Pochettino's side did not score, Mbappe and Co. enjoyed more clear-cut chances and had Neymar had his shooting boots on, the French side would have won the game.

As a result, all members of the PSG camp were understandably exuberant when they faced the media, with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi exemplified this with his post-match interview, hailing the players, the coaching staff, and the sporting director for leading the club into the penultimate stage of Europe's premier club competition for the second season running.

"Tonight, it was magnificent," the Parc des Princes executive told RMC Sport, as per Marca. "We could have scored three or four goals, but in the end we have qualified. I have confidence in our team, which has grown and which has a lot of experience. We won against Barcelona and Bayern Munich, that means a lot.

"We have come to win the Champions League. I'm very proud of the team. The coach and Leonardo have done magnificent work. The players gave their all."

Things became interesting when the issue of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar's future in Paris came up. The two attackers have been at the heart of the club but they have also been subject to transfer rumors. This is more the case for Mbappe, with the French sensation entering the final year of his contract amid heavy interest from Real Madrid.

Al-Khelaifi issued a statement regarding the players' future and while he did not claim both will remain in the French capital, the Qatari official's message was loud and clear: there is nowhere else better.

"We have invested a lot in the club to win the Champions League and all the trophies available," he added. "Neymar and Kylian have no reason to leave.

"We really have everything to win every competition. We have a great team. We have respect for the others but we are there with them. We are working. And it is not over.

"We need to continue, to remain calm because the Champions League isn't finished. We need to work more every day. The belief is there. The secret is work. The finer details make the difference too."

Now that they are through to the semis, all that's left for PSG is to await the result of Dortmund vs Man City as the winner will face Les Parisiens in the last four. Should the French giants go all the way and lift the Ol' Big Ears, Mbappe might consider his mission at the Parc des Princes achieves and move for pastures new.
