Watford are one of two teams yet to win a single game this season, the other being Wolves. With one draw and three defeats under their belt, the Hornets sit dead bottom in the standings, resulting in their managerial change. They will be aiming to end this run against Arsenal.

The home side will have to do without the services of Craig Cathcart who picked up an injury during the international break. Troy Deeney remains on the sidelines as the captain is yet to return from the knee surgery he had back in August.

The away side have lost Alexandre Lacazette due to a reoccurring ankle issue. The club announced that he will rest and recover until October, meaning the likes of Nelson and Willock could get more playing time.

Pepe is fit to play despite a recent scare during the break. Rob Holding has recovered from a long-term injury he picked up last season but this game comes too soon for the English center-back.
