Gareth Bale's career at Real Madrid will almost certainly end this summer, but the Spanish side has found it a bit hard to part ways with the Welsh winger.
Right after the end of the 2017-18 campaign, Gareth Bale seemed to be on his way out of the Bernabeu, but given the departures of Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo, the Welshman was handed a more relevant role with the team. Nonetheless, he failed to meet the club's requirements, and with Zidane's return, it seems that his time at La Casa Blanca will be over this summer, but the main problem to transfer him is that, according to Marca, there have been no substantial offers to lure the player away from Los Blancos.
The report by the Spanish newspaper reveals that Florentino Pérez is determined to offload Bale this summer no matter what, and in that fashion, he would consider the option of loaning the Welshman to facilitate his exit from the club.
"Real Madrid considering to loan Bale"
This would not be an uncommon thing for Real Madrid to do, as the team's president used the same scheme to let James Rodríguez's transfer to materialize. Given Bale's massive wage (over $17M), a similar plan could work like a charm for a player that seems to have lost the trust and respect from both the team's fans and coach.
