The Croatian midfielder scored one of the most beautiful goals of the tournament just when his National Team needed it the most.

In what was seen by many as a do-or-die game for Croatia, the Vatreni side put up a massive performance against Scotland to reach the next round of the competition in style, but that would not have been able without Luka Modric's performance tonight.

The talented midfielder came through for the team with a crucial goal that gave Croatia the lead after conceding a goal by Scotland. Modric's goal from outside the box was enough to give the red and white side a lead they would not drop anymore, mainly due to the emotional effect it had on the Scottish side and their fans at Hampden Park.

This was his third goal in a UEFA Euro game, and what a goal it was! Have a look at it here (Image might be geo-restricted).

With this goal, Modric became the first Croatian footballer to score a goal in three different UEFA Euro editions (2008, 2016, 2020). If that was not enough, Modric also accomplished another record with his goal today.
