The 2020-21 Taça da Liga final is set to take place this weekend, and both sides contending for the title surely have the credentials to opt for the cup.

On one hand, league leaders Sporting made their way to the title clash by beating Porto in the semi-finals, and look to win their third Taça da Liga title in the last four years. This will be the fifth appearance in the Taça da Liga for the Lions, who claimed two titles after losing in their first two attempts.

Their rivals on Saturday will be Sporting Braga, who took advantage of Benfica's COVID issues to secure a spot in the final. Braga are the defending champions after beating Porto last season, and now they will try to earn their third title in the competition against one of Portugal's Big Three. They defeated Porto in 2013 and 2020, and they shockingly lost to Moreirense in the 2016-17 edition.

If Sporting want to claim the title, then they will have to pay special attention to Paulinho's performance. The striker has scored three goals in the competition, and he will be deemed as the red and white side's biggest threat when the game kicks off. Sporting's Jovane Cabral will also be a player to pay attention during this fixture, as he is close behind Paulinho in the race to become the tournament's top scorer.
