Preview: Bayer Leverkusen vs Wolfsburg
Over the weekend, Bayer Leverkusen picked off where it left things following the restoration of the Bundesliga season. After securing a 4-1 away win over Werder Bremen, Peter Bosz's men upheld their impressive form on the road with a 3-1 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach this weekend. Although the scoreline depicts otherwise, the encounter was rather cagey, but ultimately, the visitors carried the day to demote Die Fohlen to fifth place and ascend the fourth position.
In a broader perspective, Leverkusen has not put a foot wrong in its last 12 outings across all competitions. In February, the BayArena outfit has lost just once in the previous 16 fixtures. The defeat ensued against Hoffeinham in February.
Going up against Wolfsburg at home, Leverkusen aims to put in another masterful performance to boost its pursuit of attaining Champions League football next season. The visitors come into the clash sitting in sixth place with 39 points - 14 points less than Die Werkself's haul.
Wolfsburg enters Tuesday's encounter on the back of a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. Before the fixture, the Wolves had secured a 2-1 win on Matchday 26 over Augsburg. Against Leverkusen, a top performance will be required from the visitors considering they have lost four of the last five meetings between the pair.

We'll have to do without Admir #Mehmedi at Leverkusen, he's got an Achilles tendon problem. But we have to deal with the situation and make the best out of it.#B04WOB #VfLWolfsburg pic.twitter.com/mZegj9AE2m
