Inter Milan makes final transfer decision on Alexis Sánchez's future

Alexis Sánchez has struggled to show his best form since he left Arsenal in 2018, and it seems that he will not be making his return to Serie A permanent, as reports coming in from England suggest that the footballer will go back to Manchester United once the season comes to an end.

The Chilean ace has failed to impress Antonio Conte during his maiden season at Inter Milan, and according to the Daily Mail, Conte will not push his employers to make Sánchez's stay at the club permanent. If Inter wanted to do so, they would have to pay Manchester United a bit over $21M.

Now, Sánchez may be forced to go back to Manchester United, where his staggering wages may represent a problem for the club, since the South American winger earns over $496,000 per week with the Red Devils. Man United has made it abundantly clear that Sánchez does not have a spot in the team's roster, and any offers to buy him will be considered despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's desire to have him around for next season.

Sánchez has only made two starts since he returned to the Italian top-flight, mainly because a knee injury forced him off the pitch for over three months. He has only scored one goal for the nerazzurri in nine outings with the club, while adding two assists to his name, one in a UEFA Champions League game and one more in Serie A ties. Now you see why Inter does not want to make this deal permanent?
