Preview: Chelsea vs Manchester United
Chelsea have now gone three Premier League games sans a win and will be keen on getting back to winning ways quickly as they take on the Red Devils on Monday evening. Although the Blues are still inside the top four, they now have seen Tottenham close the gap to just one point, and Sheffield United are still stubbornly refusing to give up on a Champions League berth after having a shockingly good season. Any further slip-ups could see Frank Lampard's young side overtaken by Spurs and Sheffield, and certainly after all the hard work they accomplished in 2019 they wouldn't want to fall into fifth spot or below.
However, the last time the two sides met, Chelsea were humiliated 4-0 and they also lost 2-1 to the same side in the EFL Cup. In addition, Lampard opted to drop no. 1 shot stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga for bad attitude against Leicester in lieu of backup option Willy Caballero, and it will be very interesting to see if Arrizabalaga returns to the fold for Mondays' fixture.
Meanwhile, Manchester United, who sit in ninth, could close the gap on fourth-placed Chelsea to just three points with a crucial win here. Like Chelsea, though, United have been in poor form. The Red Devils have won just one of their last five league games, with defeats to Arsenal, Liverpool, and most discouraging, Burnley.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will know that he must turn things around quickly if his team want to have any remote chance of salvaging a top four spot, and a win at Stamford Bridge could be the perfect launching point to achieve that aim. Having already beaten Chelsea twice - in the league and the EFL Cup - the Norwegian tactician will be obviously aiming for a three-peat.

Chelsea: Both Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are still out, but Tammy Abraham, who has been oustanding this season with his goal-scoring efforts, should return to the fold after recovering from an ankle issue.
Manchester United: Both Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba continue to remain on the sidelines due to injuries, and this game could see a debut for new signing Odion Ighalo possibly from the bench.
