The striker's switch to Camp Nou is reportedly on the verge of completion.

Negotiations for Rodrigo Moreno's purported move to Barcelona is on the verge of completion, a report from Spain has confirmed. The 27-year-old striker is expected to exit the Mestalla in the coming days with the president of Valencia believed to be in town to discuss the final terms for his departure.

In Saturday's La Liga win over the Catalans, Rodrigo was omitted from Valencia's starting line up and was not introduced into the game until the 60th minute, fueling more rumors about his imminent exit. A report by the Valencian daily Superdeporte on Monday has since revealed that the forward might truly be on his way out with his stalled transfer having been reignited in the past hours.

In their account, Valencia president Anil Murthy and agent Jorge Mendes arrived in Barcelona on Monday to straighten out the final details of the deal. According to another Spanish publication Marca, Los Che's 60 million valuation of the Spanish striker still remains intact although the likelihood of a compromise being made remains due to Barcelona's prosposal.

As things stand, Los Blaugrana will look to secure the service of Rodrigo on loan while retaining an option to buy or offer money plus players in exchange at the end of the season. Nevertheless, the presence of super-agent Jorge Mendes tends to hint at a deal being nearing its completion with the closure of the January transfer window also fast approaching.
