Wow! Just wow!

Tuesday's Champions League clash between Red Bull Salzburg and Liverpool saw Mohamed Salah producing one of the best finishes seen in the competition this season. With the defending champions needing at least a draw to secure progression to the knockout phase, the 26-year-old Egyptian forward emerged to produce a remarkable goal to seal the night's 2-1 win inside the Red Bull Arena.

Having failed to break the deadlock in the first half, Liverpool entered the second with all guns blazing and was duly rewarded in no time. First, it was two former products of the hosts, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita, who comed to finish off a well-worked move to hand the Reds the lead.

Less than 120 seconds latter, another glorious opportunity presented itself - this time with Mohamed Salah getting in on the action. The former AS Roma and Chelsea star chased down a pass from his half in a swift counter-attacking move, rounded Salzburg goalkeeper Cican Stankovic, and clipped into the net a no-look shot from acute angle with his weaker foot. In essence, Salah's strike which consolidated Liverpool's status as Group E winners , saw him move past Fernando Torres on the Reds all-time top goalscorers' chart. The Spaniard managed 81 goals in 142 appearances and, currently, the Egyptian is tied on 82 with Luis Suarez who featured in 133 games for the Merseysiders prior to his switch to Barcelona.
