The option to see the highly-rated youngster leaving Red Bull Salzburg this winter has taken a massive twist.

Just when Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United and almost every top club in Europe seemed destined to pay big bucks for Erling Braut Håland, a report by Bild may give them the chance to save quite a bit of money.

According to the German publication, Håland seemed to be on his way out of Red Bull Salzburg after an impressive start of the season for no less than 80 million euros (some $89M). But Bild's report revealed the existance of a clause in the Norwegian footballer's deal with the Austrian side that would allow him to leave the club for a bit over $20M.

With that in mind, Barcelona and Real Madrid might be tempted to step up their pursuit of the striker, but there seems to be a German team that is Håland's preferred destination: Borussia Dortmund.

The yellow and black club seems to be in pole position to sign the player, according to the German publication, which would see them add firepower to their squad instantly.

Håland has been impressive during the first six months of the season, scoring 27 goals in 20 games (all comps) for RB Salzburg. Will his future be part of a new transfer saga this winter? Let's wait and see!
