Colombia boast a perfect record in this tournament so far. After brushing aside Argentina in their 2-0 opening day victory, Los Cafeteros then edged out Qatar 1-0 to book their ticket to the next round, stretching their winning run to four straight games.
As for Paraguay, their failure to beat Argentina means they still boast only one win from their last 10 games in all competitions, losing five and drawing four. This clash could be the difference between progression and elimination, meaning Paraguay must put an end to their atrocious form.

While there are no fresh injuries or suspensions, it should be noted that Carlos Queiroz might rest a few key players. As earlier mentioned, James Rodriguez and Co. have already secured their spot in the next round and the coach might thus opt to hand his key players a breather in order to be fresh for more difficult games.
Paraguay don't have the same luxury. They are staring at elimination but a win would see them progress. Miguel Almiron was once again lively in the 1-1 draw with Argentina and should be the danger man for Los Guaraníes La Albirroja.

With six points under their built, Colombia have already won the group. No other team can mathematically reach Los Cafeteros and thus game is of little importance to the South American heavyweights.
The same isn't true for Paraguay. They currently occupy the second spot, but with Argentina and Qatar only a point behind, only a win would guarantee them progression.
A draw won't suffice, as they would lose their second spot to whomever wins the Qatar vs Argentina clash. Paraguay could still go through as one of the best-ranked third-placed team with three points but that's an unsafe bet.
After being grouped with Argentina and Colombia, no one expected Eduardo Berizzo's side to go through. Everyone tipped Messi and Co. to top the standings followed by Los Cafeteros and while Paraguay cannot win their group, finishing ahead of Argentina, albeit an embarrassing Argentina side, is an accomplishment nonetheless.
However, that dream has not yet been accomplished. They will have to stop the likes of James and Falcao, should they Colombian stars play. It won't be an easy task, but it's a task they must complete.
