The player is yet to reach an agreement to extend his stay with the Old Trafford outfit.

Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has admitted uncertainty over his future at the club. The 30-year-old Spaniard is in discussions with the club's chiefs to extend his current contract which ends this summer but both parties are yet to reach a consensus.

The arrival of interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has brought about a massive improvement in the form of Herrera. Partnering Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in the midfield of the Norwegian manager's gameplan, the former Athletic Club star has been crucial in the recent success story of his side.

According to the Telegraph, the reason for the hold up is because Manchester United is reluctant to meet his wage demands of Ander Herrera. With headway yet to be made in the discussions, French outfit Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly developed interest in the signing of the Spanish midfielder.

The player's recent comments subtly affirmed the Ligue 1 club's interest as he was unable to commit his future to the Red Devils.

"It is logical (to be linked with other clubs) when you have three months of contract (left)," he told El Periodico as quoted by Telegraph.

"I already knew something was going to come out. I take it as normal, I focus on playing football in the month-and-a-half (of the season) that remains.

"The rest is left to my agent, both the possible renewal with United and if you talk to another club for my departure.

"I do not go crazy with what will happen in four months, so I do not know if my stage is over.

"I enjoy being at the biggest club in England, the fans love me, they have treated me phenomenally and my duty is to listen to them, although I honestly do not know what is going to happen."

Herrera's compatriot David De Gea is also reportedly drawing interest from other top clubs with his contract demands also yet to be met by Manchester United.
