The Special One is being linked with the Bernabeu job once more and is tipped to be approached by Perez next summer.

Real Madrid's latest home defeat to Girona not only put them nine points behind Barcelona, but it will also likely dent Santiago Solari's odds of remaining in charge past this season. As a result, it comes as little surprise to see Jose Mourinho linked with the Spanish giant once more.

Despite having fallen out with a number of his players during his spell at the Bernabeu, the Portuguese tactician is still highly respected by Florentino Perez. It's for this reason that the Los Blancos president is considering hiring the Special One once more.

And according to Don Balon, the former Man United tactician will want to raid the Premier League in an attempt to rebuild the squad. One position he would want to strengthen is the number nine role, as Benzema is 31 and has endured rough patches this season.

The report states that Jose would want either Tottenham goalscoring machine Harry Kane or Liverpool ace Roberto Firmino at the Bernabeu. While the Englishman won't come cheap and might be difficult to land due to Daniel Levy, the latter could be a cheaper option.

The article also states that Mourinho would wish to get either Mbappe or Neymar to complement his new forward. It is hard to see Real Madrid signing one of the two PSG stars and Kane at once given their market value.

In defense, the three-time Premier League winner will also eye a few additions. The likes of Alex Sandro, Marquinhos, and Skriniar have been mentioned given that Marcelo and Ramos might end up leaving.

However, Don Balon admits that Jose won't get everything he wants. Perez is the man in charge, and he has always been, meaning the president will have the final say on transfer dealings should Mourinho return to La Liga.
