The Norwegian striker is set to become the first big name signed for Carlo Ancelotti's new era with the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid had been away from transfer rumors for the better part of this month, but Los Blancos' fans may have reasons to look forward to the upcoming season, as they have reportedly agreed terms to sign none other than Erling Braut Haaland, Borussia Dortmund's striker.

The Norwegian striker has been linked to Chelsea, Barcelona, Manchester United and other teams, but reports close to the player's agent Mino Raiola suggest that Real Madrid have secured one of the hottest transfers for the summer.

Earlier today, Italian newspapers La Gazzetta dello Sport, La Repubblica, and SportItalia stated that Haaland will join Real Madrid this summer, as the club have already agreed terms with him in regards to his wages. Now, the main order of business will be to convince Borussia Dortmund to accept an initial bid between $118M and $130M.

The German side may be forced to let the footballer leave the club next summer thanks to a low-cost clause in his contract that would see him leaving the Black and Yellow for just a bit over $89M. According to all sources, Real Madrid may try to convince Dortmund to take a bid such as theirs now rather than lose over $30M next summer.

The Spanish giants had seemingly kept this deal under the radar by fueling their interest in signing Kylian Mbappé, but now it seems that they will focus those efforts on signing Haaland by splashing the cash now and try to lure Mbappé away from PSG on a free deal next summer.
