The defending champions visit Conte’s side amid a highly-contested Serie A race. Here’s our preview of Inter Milan vs Juventus.

Inter Milan vs Juventus – preview

Juventus are gearing up for a highly-anticipated Serie A clash with Inter Milan, a showdown between the defending champions and the second-placed team in the league. Given the tightly-contested Scudetto race this season, this fixture could go a long way in determining the faith of both the Old Lady and the Nerazzurri.

Cristiano and Co. find themselves in fourth and thus need a win in order to make ground in their title defense. While only four points separate them from Antonio Conte's side, the Bianconeri could find themselves seven points adrift of league leaders AC Milan should they lose at the San Siro.

Pirlo's side have won their last three Italian top-flight fixtures, including a recent 3-1 victory over the Rossoneri, and will be looking to make it four in a row when they visit Inter. Andrea will aim to get the better of Conte, his former manager at Juventus, in a bid to breathe life back into their title push.

Then there is Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese goalscoring machine who is on the hunt for yet another record. With 759 career goals under his belt, he is tied with Josef Bican for the most official goals scored in football history and is one away from smashing the record altogether. Sunday's Stadio Giuseppe Meazza clash would be the best stage to pull this off.

Team news

Inter Milan: Eriksen featured in the Coppa Italia clash with Fiorentina but is all but destined to return to the bench in favor of Brozovic. Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku are two other players set to return to the lineup, as well as Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.

Juventus: Pirlo has several absentees such as Sando, de Ligt, and Dybala who are all injured. Cristiano Ronaldo should return to the lineup and will partner Alvaro Morata in attack. As for the midfield, Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot, and Rodrigo Bentacur will be vying for starts.
