Some of Zinedine Zidane's choices might be taken as an insult by the players he left out of the squad that will try to come back from a 2-1 deficit.

Real Madrid will need to score twice without conceding against Manchester City to make it to the next round of the UEFA Champions League, and Zinedine Zidane's choices might raise a few eyebrows when it comes to his squad list for such a crucial game.

The Spanish champions revealed their 24-man list for the tie on Wednesday, and there were three major absences noted by all fans: Mariano, who is out after testing positive for COVID-19; James Rodríguez, who asked not to be called up for any games if he did not stand a chance to play, and most notably, Gareth Bale, who's public rift with Zidane has seen him demoted to a regular substitute.

To make matters worse, Zidane included Sergio Ramos in the list even if he is suspended for the game. Spanish media outlets had stated that Ramos was ready to make the trip in his role as captain, mostly because he is a role model to some of the players due to his contribution on and off the pitch.

Other than that, Zidane included every available player for this game with Bale's exception, which could be seen by many as the Frenchman's final insult against Bale. Here's Real Madrid's full squad for the match against Manchester City.
