FIFA TV brings classic matches to the screens during #QuarantineLife with the #WorldCupAtHome campaign

FIFA is continuing their #WorldCupAtHome initiative by airing further re-runs of World Cup matches during the quarantine life. Four games have been confirmed for Friday, April 03, 2020 until Monday, April 06, 2020 and they consist of quite a few classic encounters. Everything kicks off with Brazil vs France from Germany 2006, a game which will forever be remembered due to Zinedine Zidane's master class. On Saturday, fans can re-live the clash between Maradona's Argentina and Brazil in Italy 1990.

The two remaining fixtures are relatively recent, with the unforgettable group-stage showdown between Spain and Portugal in Russia 2018 set to be aired on FIFA.com and YouTube (geo-restrictions may apply). The 2015 Women's World Cup showdown between USWNT and Germany wraps things up with an April 06 re-run of their memorable semi-final showdown.

Premier League suspended indefinitely

After pushing back the suspension of the 2019/20 season to April 30, the Premier League has now decided to suspend the English top-flight indefinitely.

"It was acknowledged that the Premier League will not resume at the beginning of May – and that the 2019/20 season will only return when it is safe and appropriate to do so," the league announced in an official statement.

The EPL will only return when it is safe

English Premier League, Coronavirus, Suspended

"The restart date is under constant review with all stakeholders, as the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic develops and we work together through this very challenging time."

While the plan is to wrap up the campaign at a later and safer date, the Premier League recognizes that they cannot put a specific timeframe on when the action will resume. This suspension is not only for the English top-fight, but also for the EFL, FA Women's Super League and FA Women's Championship.
