The Portuguese midfielder seems to be living his final days as a Sporting player, but his agent shared a different scope on the situation.

First, it was Silas' assistant manager, and now, it's player agent Jorge Mendes. Everyone is talking about Bruno Fernandes' future away from Sporting, and it seems that the super agent has said the final word on his client's potential move to Manchester United.

Speaking in a recent interview, Mendes cast a huge doubt over the player's move, despite reports earlier today about a breakthrough in negotiations for the midfielder.

"I don't know (if he will leave Sporting). Something will happen, but I am not sure if now or at the end of the season," Mendes said.

The agent added that Manchester United does not have exclusive negotiation rights over the player, as Sporting is trying to work out the best deal possible for them.

"If he doesn't leave know, he will leave for sure in the summer, because Sporting has already spoken with other clubs," Mendes added.

If Mendes' words have any truth to them, this will be the second transfer window in which Manchester United fails to bring the Portuguese ace in. Their current woes in midfield seem like they could be solved with Fernandes' arrival, but both his club and the player remain unconvinced about the terms being offered to them by the Red Devils' hierarchy.
