The Portuguese ace has two major reasons for thinking that his departure from the Spanish giants was not the right thing to do.

Back in 2018, fans were surprised by Cristiano Ronaldo's desire to leave Real Madrid, since it seemed like the wrong move for both. Now, the Portuguese footballer seems to agree with that notion, as members of his inner circle told Spanish newspaper ABC that CR7 has admitted to them that leaving Los Blancos was a mistake.

The source, kept in anonimity by the newspaper, revealed that CR7 has even told some of his former team-mates about his current way of thinking.

"Cristiano will deny it, because he can't say it out loud at Juve, but the truth is that Cristiano has spoken to some of his pals at Real Madrid and told them that he should have never left Los Blancos," the source told ABC.

Some of Real Madrid's players told him that he would not have the same exposure in the media if he decided to leave the Spanish giants, and after snubbing their belief, he has now admitted that no club can match Real Madrid's impact around the world.

"His team-mates told him that no club in the world has a global fanbase that compares to Real Madrid's, and he is now fully aware of that and that is why he regrets his decision," the source added.

Losing the last two Ballon D'Or titles to Luka Modric and Lionel Messi took a huge toll on CR7's ego, and his inner circle has told him that if he had remained at Real Madrid, those awards would be gracing his trophy cabinet.

"Some of his relatives have told him that, if he had stayed at Real Madrid, both of those awards would have been his. That's a thought that's deep inside his head," the source continued.

There's one more problem for Cristiano Ronaldo, since he feels a bit let down by Juve's form in the UEFA Champions League and in the current Serie A season, where they seem to be falling from grace after eight straight years winning the title.

Last, but not least, being slammed by the media for scoring just one goal in the continental tournament and seven goals in the Italian top-flight has gotten to his head, making him believe that leaving the club where he won it all was not the right thing to do.
