Teams such as Costa Rica and the USMNT have to step it up if they want to avoid a major embarrassment in this tournament.

The Group Stage of the CONCACAF Nations League is set to come to an end this month, and there is much to be played still with three tickets available for the next stage of the tournament.

Honduras, with only two games played in Group C of League A, has already booked their spot in the next round. With three groups to play for, teams such as Mexico seem set to join Los Catrachos in the next round, while other teams like Costa Rica and the USMNT need to up the ante if they don't want to be left out of the race.

Here's a breakdown of how each group looks like prior to the last games of the CONCACAF Nations League Group Stage.

Group A - Canada, one point away from pulling off a shocker

The team from the North end of the continent enters this month in the best form possible, as John Herdman's men need one point to secure their place in the Final Four. The Canucks are top of the group thanks to three wins, but a loss against the USMNT could complicate things quite a bit. The other fixture will see the American side battle for their spot in the finals against Cuba, but that clash could be just to complete each team's records if things go Canada's way.

Cuba vs United States: November 19, 2019, at Truman Bodden Sports Complex, at the Cayman Islands.

Group B - Mexico, set to confirm themselves as CONCACAF's biggest threat

Tata Martino's term as Mexico's boss has been filled with impressive performances, with the exception of that loss against Argentina. Now, the former Barcelona boss will try complete a good year with El Tri by leading them to the next stage of the tournament. As of now, Mexico has won two games, and their games facing Panama and Bermuda should not represent a problem for the highly-rated young squad called up by Martino. Their two rivals will battle for the other CONCACAF Gold Cup spot available, which may go to the team that loses by the narrowest margin against El Tri.

Mexico vs Bermuda: November 19, 2019, at Estadio Nemesio Díez.

Group C - Honduras looking for the perfect ending to an effortless group stage

Los Catrachos are the only team that has made it to the next stage, and they will want to continue that form when they play their final games of the group. Fabián Coito's crew will finish this stage at home, which will give them a chance to celebrate with their compatriots. Martinique and Trinidad and Tobago will try to avoid a heavy loss against Los Catrachos to earn a ticket to the qualifying stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, which is Martinique's to lose before the games are played.

Honduras vs Trinidad & Tobago: November 17, 2019, at Estadio Olímpico Metropolitano.

Group D - Costa Rica aims to avoid an embarrassing finale

Los Ticos have endured a disappointing run in the CONCACAF Nations League, which included a shocking managerial change. Now, with two games left, the team coached by Ronald González needs at least one win to keep their Final Four chances alive. Curacao has the upper hand, since a draw in the group's final fixture would see them through, but the narrow goal difference between the Central American side and the team from the Caribbean makes us believe that the game will be as tough as you might expect.
