The Brazilian ace was left out of the race for the first time in eight years.

Yesterday's announcement of the 30-man list of players that will opt to win the 2019 Ballon D'Or did not include one name that had been a regular for quite some time.

For the first time in eight years, Neymar's name was not included by the panel that chooses those players that will opt for the award, and surprisingly, the committee decided to explain the reasons to snub Neymar, which are set to make the footballer a bit mad, since most of them have to do with his off-the-pitch antics.

The French magazine revealed a list of reasons why they chose to omit the footballer's name, starting with the injury he picked up on January 23, which left him out of the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League clash against Manchester United.

The player's reaction to that loss, which saw him slam UEFA execs publicly, was one more reason why France Football decided to leave Neymar out of the Ballon D'Or race. Furthermore, Neymar's behavior after the team's Coupe de France final, in which he pushed a fan for allegedly insulting him, was also mentioned as a reason to refrain themselves from including the Brazilian ace in the shortlist.

Last, but not least, France Football mentions the player's failed attempt to join Barcelona as the last reason to snub him. The French magazine referred to this transfer saga as "the soap opera of the summer".

The press release adds that Neymar's absence did not have a massive effect on how PSG played, since his team-mates were able to cope with his loss.

Neymar has kicked off the 2019-20 season with PSG in fine form, but it seems that France Football has not forgotten about his past mistakes and are ready to "punish" him for each one of those mishaps.
