An injury-ravaged PSG kick off their Champions League campaign by welcoming Real Madrid on matchday one. Live Soccer TV's match preview provides team news, global broadcast listings, and match facts for PSG vs Real Madrid.

Preview: PSG vs Real Madrid

With Belgian outfit Club Brugge and Turkish side Galatasaray for company, it's quite clear that the battle for top spot in Group A will be between French giants PSG and all-time Champions League winners Real Madrid. The two sides will go toe-to-toe in on matchday one at the Parc des Princes in the first of two crucial games for both teams, but Les Parisiens are facing a huge injury crisis at the moment. Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe are two of the key players missing for the hosts, and they will also have to make do without Neymar due to suspension up front.

PSG come into this game having narrowly beaten bogey side Strasbourg thanks to a late goal from Neymar, and the Brazilian superstar had to endure angry jeers from the PSG fans throughout the game. Naturally, their next opponents will present a much tougher test PSG have historically struggled against Spanish outfits - with just one win in their last nine encounters.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid find themselves in third spot in La Liga after winning two and drawing two matches but are still unbeaten so far this term. Zidane's side survived a rather nervy match against Levante last weekend during which their opponents managed to nearly claw their way back into the game after it seemed like they were firmly in control after going 3-0 up in the first half, and he'll hope his team won't let their concentration levels drop in the same fashion against the champions of Ligue 1.

Team news: PSG vs Real Madrid

PSG: As noted earlier, the team's three main attackers - Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar are all unavaliable for this match due to injury (for the first two) and suspension (for Neymar). That being said, PSG have other options to fill in that would make any team jealous, with Argentinian duo Angel Di Maria and Mauro Icardi expected to feature in the starting XI.

Real Madrid: As for the visitors, both Nacho and Sergio Ramos are suspended for this match.
