Man City new boy fires warning to teammates after Norwich slip

Manchester City's big-money summer signing Rodri has issued a caution to his teammates following Saturday's shock away defeat to Norwich City. The 23-year-old Spanish midfielder was in action when his side was condemned to a 3-2 loss by the new Premier League entrant at Carrow Road.

Two first-half goals by Kenny McLean and Todd Cantwell gave the hosts an unlikely lead before Sergio Aguero restored optimism for a potential comeback by striking right on half-time. Teemu Pukki restored the two-goal advantage with his sixth Premier League goal of the season before Rodri grabbed another consolation for the Citizens in the 88th minute.

Following the end to the proceeding, the former Atletico Madrid star expressed displeasure with the performance of his teammates and urged them to be more proactive in the coming games.

"I think we lost this game because of us," he told City's website.

"I think they don't do many things to win this game. Of course, congratulations to Norwich, they play really good football, but today we gave them chances.

"That's something we have to look at ourselves and solve our mistakes. It's not normal. The three goals are mistakes.

"The team is working, we are down now but we have to wake up because we have matches every three days."

Manchester City is currently second on the league log and is five points behind table-toppers Liverpool.
