Fans of the Red Devils might have seen the last of the player who is rapidly closing in on a transfer to the Serie A.

Romelu Lukaku is on the verge of securing a move away from Manchester United, reports have claimed. The 25-year-old Belgian striker is said to have agreed in principle to join Serie A outfit Inter Milan ahead of a big-money move this summer.

The arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United saw Lukaku become surplus to requirement with the Norwegian manager consistently fielding Marcus Rashford as his preferred target man. Not much has changed in the off-season and the word on the block is that the former Everton star is not part of the new boss' plans for next season.

While on international duty with Belgium, Lukaku threw doubt on his future at Manchester United although he reserved the right to fully disclose his decision or preferred destination. According to Manchester Evening News, the striker wants his future resolved before Solskjaer side leaves for the preseason in a few weeks.

Latest report from the Sun claims that Antonio Conte is keen on recruiting Lukaku as he begins his spell as the new manager of Inter Milan and the Manchester United forward has now agreed personal terms with the club. The Nerazzurri and the Red Devils are yet to reach common ground on the fee for the striker.

However, rumors suggest that the latter will hold out for £75 million in a bid to recoup the amount spent on signing the Belgian from Everton in 2017. Romelu Lukaku is expected to earn £180,000-a-week should his move to Inter Milan be finalised.
