Jonathan Barnett did not hold back when speaking about how Los Blancos' supporters have failed to 'fall in love' with Bale.

Gareth Bale's inner circle is tired of having the Welshman slammed by Real Madrid's fans, and they were sure to let them know that they will not turn a deaf ear to those "insults".

At least that's what Jonathan Barnett, Bale's agent, stated during an interview with the Daily Mail. Apparently, Barnett is tired of having to defend his client from the constant criticism coming in from fans and experts in the Spanish capital.

The agent feels that Bale is not as praised as other players despite his many contributions to Real Madrid's recent success in Europe.

"The reviews are ridiculous. A player who has won everything with the club deserves more respect. He has won the Champions League four times in five years. He scored some of the most important goals in the club's history. Bale wants to play every game. Do people think he is happy to be on the bench?" Barnett asked.

The agent's words come after Bale was booed of the pitch after a cameo appearance during the team's 2-1 loss against Girona. During that game, Bale was used as a substitute, but he failed to help Los Blancos in their attempts to rescue one point.

Barnett feels that Real Madrid fans are too jugdemental against his client, especially due to the amount of criticism he's faced because of his constant injuries.

The agent recalled how Bale has made an effort to connect with the club via his relevant goals this season.

"He returns in December and scores a hat trick in the semi-finals of the Club World Cup. He was injured in January and comes back and scores a few minutes after coming into play against Espanyol. Then he is booed at the next game. What else can you do?" the agent inquired.

The Welsh ace is being linked with a move away from the Bernabeu this summer, with Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United as his potential destinations. Even if Bale decided to stay at the Bernabeu, these words by his agent won't make his life easier in Spain.
