The 2021 UEFA Women's Championship, the 13th edition of the competition, will be hosted in England. The tournament will commence on 11 July and end on 1 August 2021.

The final match of the competition will take place at Wembley Stadium.

The 2021 UEFA Women's EURO qualifying group stage draw is scheduled for 13:30CET (12:30 GMT) on 21 February 2019 in Nyon, Switzerland.

How are the pot seedings ahead of the Women's Euro 2021 qualifying draw?

For the first time in the history of the competition, the draw will involve a record 48 countries including first-time entrants Cyprus and Kosovo. Hosts England will be excluded from the draw. In all, nine groups will be formed for the qualifying group stage.

Depending on each nations' status on the FIFA Women's World Rankings, they have been placed in one of five seeding pots. Four pots feature nine countries while the remaining one has 11. See below for the seedings:

  • Pot 1: France, Germany, Netherlands (holders), Spain, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Scotland, Italy

  • Pot 2: Austria, Denmark, Iceland, Belgium, Russia, Wales, Ukraine, Finland, Czech Republic 

  • Pot 3: Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belarus

  • Pot 4: Turkey, Slovakia, Croatia, Northern Ireland, Greece, Israel, Kazakhstan, Albania, Moldova

  • Pot 5: Faroe Islands, Malta, FYR Macedonia, Estonia, Montenegro, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Kosovo.

For the group stage draw, a ball will be drawn from Pot 5 (least ranked teams) to fill up the sixth positions from Group A to Group I. The procedure will then be repeated until the fifth position in the groups are filled up.

In alphabetical order, the nine nations in Pot 4 will be drawn into the fourth position of Group A to I. The same process will be repeated for Pot 3 to Pot 1 until the third, second and first positions across all the nine groups are filled.

As per UEFA.com, the UEFA Executive Committee has decided that neither Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina nor Serbia cannot be drawn into the same group. 

What is the Women's Euro 2021 qualifying campaign's match schedule, by phase?

The matches of the Women's Euro 2021 qualifying group stage will be played at home and away from August 26, 2019 to September 22, 2020. This will be followed by the draw for the play-off matches for qualification to the final tournament which is slated for 25 September 2020, in Nyon, Switzerland. Both legs of the play-off matches will be played between October 19 to 27, 2020.

The date for the draw for the Women's Euro 2021 group stage is yet to be decided although it will be held in England in late 2020. The tournament will subsequently commence on July 11 and end on August 1, 2021.

What is the Women's Euro 2021 qualifying criteria to reach the final tournament?

The table-toppers from Group A to Group I will first secure qualification into the final tournament to be held in England.

The three second-placed teams with the best record against the sides first, third, fourth and fifth in their respective groups will automatically join the group winners before the other six runners-up will fight for the remaining three spots of the 16-nation tournament in the play offs which will take place in October 2020.
