The Chelsea boss has revealed the key thing that could put the Belgian ahead of any other player.

Maurizio Sarri has expressed his delight of seeing Eden Hazard remain at Chelsea and has insisted that the 27-year-old can be the best in the world if he adds one or two things to his game. The forward, who could captain the Blues in this weekend's clash with Arsenal, was heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer after leading Belgium to the bronze medal at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Although the intensity of the speculation around his exit from Chelsea has died down in recent weeks, the Spanish heavyweights are reportedly keeping tabs on the player. However, according to Sarri, the likelihood of Hazard departing from his side is very minimal having spoken to him.

“Chelsea – one of the most - important clubs in Europe - cannot sell an important player without the possibility of buying one on the same level,” Sarri was quoted to have said per the Mirror.

“Of course, I was concerned about this problem.

"But after the first time I spoke to him, I was sure he would stay. So I was concerned for 20 days, no more. Now I am sure Eden will be with us for the season.”

The former Napoli manager further revealed what his star man needs to add to his game in order to become the very best player on the planet.

“We are talking about one of the most important players in Europe now but, in my opinion, he can improve more,” the Chelsea boss added.

“He, technically, is really one of the best in Europe at this moment. He has to work from the physical point of view, of course.

“It depends on his position on the pitch. In the last five years, Cristiano Ronaldo has played like a striker. Lionel Messi like a striker, Eden sometimes like a winger. Eden can improve.

“He can be the first. It depends on him. The best for technical skill, the best for scoring, but I think it depends only on him. On his mind.”
