Norwich will have their sight set on grabbing their first win of the season when they welcome Chelsea to the Carrow Road Stadium on Saturday.

Preview

Saturday's early kick-off game will feature bottom-placed Norwich City and league-leaders Chelsea as we approach double figures in the number of Premier League games played thus far. For the visitors, the game presents yet another opportunity for them to make an attempt at securing their first win of the campaign with their chances of surviving looking very slim by the day. Following their promotion to the English top-flight league, the Canaries have struggled to make the same impact as the likes of other new entrants such as Brentford.

Indeed, recording just two points from a possible 24 does not do justice to their quest to stay in the premiership. With just four points separating them and a safe spot, Norwich will be poised to make a difference against Chelsea although the test will not be an easy one. They go into the encounter on the back of successive 0-0 draws with Brighton and Burnley, with all the six preceding games ending in defeats.

Going into Saturday's match-up, there is some concern in their attacking department, as they have been unable to score in any of their last four outings across all competitions. Their last goal in the league came in the 3-1 defeat to Watford in mid-September and against the league's most defensive side, extra effort will be required if they are to breach the back line of the Londoners.

For Chelsea, manager Thomas Tuchel will demand more of the same as they look to stretch their lead atop the table. The Blues are the currently the side to beat and are looking like real title contenders with the record they have managed so far. They approach the weekend's encounter on the back of a narrow 1-0 win over Brentford in a keenly contested affair that could have gone either way.

Having held their grounds to deal with the threat of the Bees, the Stamford Bridge outfit assumed a one point lead with Liverpool trailing them closely. So far, they have only lost a single game in the eight they have featured in, and have remarkably conceded just three goals during the period.
