Chelsea land new Premier League milestone with Tottenham win

Chelsea entered the Premier League's record books once more by landing a new club milestone with Sunday afternoon's win over Tottenham Hotspur. The Blues emerged victorious in the London derby by putting three unanswered goals past their local rivals to climb to the top of the Premier League table.

Following a competitive first 45 minutes, Chelsea mounted a proper contest to get the better of Spurs to keep their unbeaten run going. Thiago Silva broke the deadlock in the fourth minute of the second half after rising the highest to meet Marcos Alonso's corner-kick before N'Golo Kante saw his deflected saw handing him his first goal in a little under two years to double Chelsea' advantage.

New-boy Romelu Lukaku could not get on the scoresheet to keep his scoring streak going and it was rather in-form defender Toni Rudiger who put the last nail in the Spurs coffin to hand Chelsea the deserving win. With the result, the Blues secured what was their sixth consecutive away win in the London derby in the Premier League - the longest streak in the club's history.

Having replicated every single scoreline as that of Liverpool in the five games played so far, Thomas Tuchel's men climbed to the top of the Premier League table with 13 points from a possible 15. So far they have managed 15 clean sheet from 24 Premier League games under the German and have conceded just 14 goals within the period. This season, the Blues have impressively picked the ball out of their net on just a single occasion - the penalty scored by Mohamed Salah in their 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
