Both Croatia and Scotland will still have hopes of squeaking into the round of 16, but it will all depend on who manages to come out on top in this crunch clash.

Preview: Croatia vs Scotland

For both Croatia and Scotland, this will be a must-win game. Neither side have done well so far at this summer's Euro tournament, as they come into this match on one point each. That being said, Scotland likely will be the more satisfied of the duo after the Tartan Army successfully held familiar foes and archrivals England to a scoreless stalemate on a rainy day at Wembley.

Steve Clarke's men endured a shock loss on matchday one against the Czech Republic, which just so happens to be their only loss in their last nine games at Hampden Park. As things stand, Scotland find themselves in the bottom of their quartet, but if they can get a result here they just may be able to squeeze into the round of 16, depending on how things pan out in the other groups on the final matchday. They'll have to do it without key player Billy Gilmour, with the young star testing positive for COVID-19 recently.

Meanwhile, Croatia have really fallen from grace over the past few years. The Vatreni are far from the side that shocked the world with their run all the way to the World Cup final in 2018, and so far, have failed to really get up and running at this competition. Zlatko Dalic's squad were beaten by England on matchday one as the Three Lions got revenge on them for dumping them out of the 2018 World Cup, and were close to facing back to back losses as they went 1-0 down to the Czech Republic.

However, experienced winger Ivan Perisic was able to pull one back and secure a crucial point for the team, which has helped them to remain in third spot, ahead of Scotland on goal difference. Croatia's record against Scotland will be a major concern as they've never beaten them in five prior attempts. That's not to mention their poor record as of late, with six losses from their last 11 internationals across all comps and just two wins during that time-frame.

In short, it's going to be win or nothing for Scotland and Croatia. Will either side prevail?
