Reports coming in from England suggest that Juventus is willing to part ways with the footballer due to his massive wages.

First it was PSG, now it's Barcelona. Cristiano Ronaldo's future at Juventus may not be secure, and reports are coming in from all over Europe with some ludicrous alternatives to where the footballer will play next season.

It all started with a report by the BBC, where football journalist Guillem Balagué revealed that CR7's agent Jorge Mendes was allegedly searching for new employment opportunities for his famous client and personal friend. Among the options being studied by the player were PSG (as reported last week), a move to the MLS, and last but not least, a shocking move to Barcelona.

The reasons for Cristiano's reported desire to leave are none other than the bianconeri's failure to win the UEFA Champions League and the lack of individual trophies for the Portuguese striker. Added to that, Juventus have been forced to lower their payroll due to a massive financial hit produced by the coronavirus pandemic, which would also leave a new deal and improved wages for CR7 out of the table.

With that in mind, the player and his agent are seeking for a way out of their deal, and Barcelona came up as a suitable alternative. Nevertheless, Barcelona's wage problems are well-known around Europe, and hiring CR7 would force Los Culés to get rid of Luis Suárez and Antoine Griezmann to make way for Cristiano's mammoth wages of over $23M per season.

Later today, the player's inner circle replied to an inquiry made by Spanish newspaper As about this subject. The source consulted by the Spanish media outlet was emphatic on this matter, ruling out any intention by Cristiano Ronaldo to end his deal with Juventus. "It's all false," the source reportedly stated.

While we cannot rule out any reports, the possibility of watching Lionel Messi and CR7 wearing the same badge seems far-fetched. On the other hand, Cristiano's departure from Real Madrid seemed impossible a couple of years ago and it ended up taking place.
