It can easily be the miss of the season!

Manchester United fans were left to wonder what forces were at play after Marcus Rashford produced a shocking miss in Sunday's Premier League clash with Brighton. The former academy star managed to squander a glorious chance to increase his tally for the day to two despite being in front of an open goal.

Moments before his unfortunate plight, Rashford consolidated his side's lead after Lewis Dunk had denied David de Gea another cleansheet with a consolation goal in the 64th minute. Earlier, a strike by Andreas Perreira and an own-goal by Davy Propper set the Red Devils up for a crusing ride at Old Trafford.

Rashford was then called into action inside the 68th minute after Daniel James had sprinted down the right side of attack and squared the ball into his path. Rather unfortutiously, he miscued the ball, sending his effort wide of the left-hand post to the dismay of onlookers.
