The Egyptian ace did not hold back when asked by the system's pros and cons in a recent interview.

The introduction of technology in football games has raised a few eyebrows since Day One, and some footballers are not shy to share their views on it.

One of those players who has recently spoken about the Video Assistant Referee is Mohamed Salah, who analyzed the pros and cons of using it to sort out difficult situations in the beautiful game.

In an interview with CNN, Salah admitted that the system has its perks, but he prefers to play football the old way.

"I don't like it, I've always said it. I don't like it because I love football just as it is. I see VAR as something good to protect players from dangerous situations, and I think it should only be used in such cases," Salah said.

The footballer went deeper into this subject, adding that mistakes by referees or fellow players should be left to stand.

"I accept football with its fair share of mistakes, whether these come from refs or players. Football is exciting because of these mistakes," Salah added.

Before the interview concludad, Salah admitted that he is trying to make the most out of VAR technology.

"I don't like it, but having it around means that I have more options to score goals if it gives us chances to take penalties," Salah concluded.
