What is Tigres UANL and Monterrey's form ahead of this game?

Tigres gets to this game with only one win out of their last six matches. Tigres' last win took place almost a month ago, when Ferreti's men defeated Chivas with a 2-1 score. Four of their recent games have ended in a draw, while their only defeat during that stint took place against Monterrey, last Wednesday.

Monterrey has only won three out of their last seven games. Curiously, all of those wins have seen Rayados come out on top with similar 1-0 scores. During that same lapse, Rayados lost against Atlas (2-0) and against Necaxa (1-0).

What do Tigres UANL and Monterrey need to get to the Liga MX final?

Tigres needs to win Saturday's clash with a 1-0 score to make it to the final. If Ferreti's men can't keep a clean sheet, they will necessarily need to score three times to make it to the final match.

Monterrey would only need a draw to make it to the final match. If Diego Alonso's side wins the match, they would also make it to the title clash. Monterrey would also earn a spot in the final if they lost by one goal, but they need to score in order for that rule to work in their favor.
