France will be out to avoid any final day upset when they take on hosts Japan in their last group game of the ongoing Men's Olympics Soccer Tournament in Japan. Les Bleus will grace the Nissan Stadium in Yokohama with the single objective to secure all the three points as anything short of that could hamper their chances of qualification. They go into the game with three point from the two games they have featured in and with a two goal deficit to also take care of.

An opening day 4-1 defeat to Mexico handed Sylvain Ripoli's men a rather poor start before they could redeem themselves with a win against South Africa. The penultimate group clash proved to be a thrilling affair with two late goals from Andre-Pierre Gignac and Teji Savanier securing a 4-3 win for the Europeans. 

Frances defensive shortcomings have been overly exposed as they have conceded the most goals at the Olympics this summer. Against a Japanese side that has scored thrice in two games and conceded one in the process, a better output will be required of Les Bleus.

For Japan, the instruction will be to deliver more of the same as they have practically qualify to the next round of the tournament. The Samarai Blue began their campaign as hosts with the 1-0 win over South Africa before beating Mexico 2-0 in the sunsequent encounter. 

In the history of the tournament, their best finish in the soccer competition of the summer Olympics was achieved at London 2012. As hosts, they will look to make a name for themselves by going all the way and securing a the ultimate reward this time around.
