Preview: Bordeaux vs PSG
With Lille's once comfortable lead cut down to just two points, PSG could potentially reclaim top spot should they beat Bordeaux and Lille stumble against Marseille. Mauricio Pochettino's men rebounded from their 2-0 loss to Monaco in resounding fashion as they cruised to a 4-0 win over relegation-threatened Dijon. They've been given a seemingly comfortable task in Bordeaux, who, despite not being anywhere near the drop zone, have been in lousy form as of late.
Indeed, Les Girondins, who have failed to win any of their last seven games across all comps, have picked up just one point from their prior five Ligue 1 matches. Scoring goals has also proven to be an issue - Jean-Louis Gasset's team are among the lowest in terms of output - and this drought isn't only on the road. In fact, despite holding Marseille to a draw, they failed to score in that match, and in fact, were unable to score in any of their home games played in February. To make matters worse, they've also been conceding goals at an alarming rate. While their defense isn't the worst in the league - that unpleasant title goes to Nimes - their failure to hang on to a lead against Metz will be highly discouraging for their fans.
Especially since PSG is coming to town. Les Parisiens may be missing superstar Neymar, but they've shown they have no problems scoring. Moise Kean has been the breakout star of this season, and in fact, is only second to Kylian Mbappe in terms of goals scored for the reigning champs. With Mbappe missing out due to a ban, the spotlight will be firmly on Kean to lead the line as Les Parisiens aim to depart with all three points in hand and keep up the pressure on league leaders Lille.

Preview: Lille vs Marseille
While PSG will be taking on Bordeaux, league leaders Lille will face a potentially tricky test against Marseille. Les Dogues saw their European adventure come to an abrupt end as they were beaten 2-1 by Ajax, both home and away. Christophe Galtier's side, perhaps still reeling from their Europa League exit, were only able to scrape a point from last weekend's match with Strasbourg, which has allowed reigning champs PSG to close the gap to just two points.
Lille will also be looking out for Lyon, who also drew last weekend, as well as Monaco, who have been in resurgent form recently. To date, they have lost just one of their last 16 home Ligue 1 games, but that strong record doesn't apply to when they've welcomed Marseille. In fact, Les Dogues have won just one of their last six home games against Marseille, and their visitors will be fired up to earn what will be their first away win of 2021.
Marseille, who come into this match having battled to an impressive draw with title aspirants Lyon, now have a new man on the bench. Jorge Sampaoli is a name that will be familiar to many followers, especially those who've tuned in to the Copa America tournaments during the last decade. Currently in seventh spot, Marseille aren't out of the running for a Europa League berth especially since they are just two points behind Metz and have a game in hand.
Hence, this match could present a real challenge for Lille, who will be desperate to keep PSG from breathing down their necks. Both matches will be played at the same time, so the players won't know what's going on during the Bordeaux-PSG game, but this Wednesday indeed looks set to be quite interesting. Will fans see another shake-up in the league table?
