The Italian boss may be headed back to the English top-flight despite being sacked by the blue and white side earlier this week.

It's been a bit over 48 hours since Carlo Ancelotti ceased to be Napoli's boss, but the Italian tactician seems set to go back to the dugout in record time.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, the former PSG and Real Madrid coach has already asked his agents to find him a new gig. With that in mind, his representatives have made a trip to England, where Arsenal and Everton are still looking to replace Unai Emery and Marco Silva, respectively.

The report by the English newspaper reveals that Ancelotti has joined Base Soccer agency in an attempt to speed things up. "Carletto" seems to be the frontrunner to land Arsenal's job, as he has reportedly requested Base Soccer's efforts to focus on that coaching gig.

Ancelotti was sacked just hours after leading Napoli to the next stage of the UEFA Champions League, mainly due to a poor start of the Serie A season and after a number of controversies between himself and club owner Aurelio Di Laurentiis.

Those controversies include Ancelotti taking side with his former players after the owner allegedly forced all footballers to stay at a hotel just like in the eve of a game. After the players refused to follow that order, De Laurentiis handed hefty bans to some of the team's leaders, but Ancelotti took their side and refused to exercise those sanctions. Eventually, De Laurentiis would take it against the coach and sacked him.

Now, Ancelotti seems set to return to the English top-flight, where he led Chelsea to a title back in the 2009-10 season.
