Preview: Lazio vs Juventus

Lazio come into this game having won their last six Serie A games, and the Aquile will be eager to halve the deficit between themselves and Juventus when they welcome the reigning Scudetto holders to the Stadio Olimpico in matchday 15's other big match on Saturday. Although the Biancocelesti have historically struggled against La Vecchia Signora - with six straight losses in their last six contests at the Stadio Olimpico - they will be hopeful of finally ending this hoodoo on Saturday evening.

Why? Because so far, key striker Ciro Immobile has been having a dynamite season. The ex-Torino man has netted a whopping 17 goals already, and it's not even the halfway point. While he is expected to slow down at some point, for now, Lazio fans are just hoping he can keep up his impressive form as they look to firmly secure their place in the top four. In addition, Lazio have really improved defensively, especially on the home front, where Simone Inzaghi's side have only conceded six times at the Stadio Olimpico.

Juventus, meanwhile, will be very frustrated with the result from their last game, which saw them have to settle for a two-all draw with minnows Sassuolo. The Bianconeri were by far the better side, but unfortunately couldn't find the breakthrough they needed to grab that vital third goal. It will be the first of two meetings between Lazio and Juventus, as the two sides will lock horns again later this month in the Supercoppa Italiana.

Will Lazio and Inzaghi - who has never beaten Maurizio Sarri - manage to turn the tide against an opponent who has repeatedly frustrated them in the past? Or will Juventus get back to winning ways to reclaim top spot in the table after Inter were held to a scoreless stalemate by Lazio's cross-town rivals Roma?
