The Portuguese boss is already taking steps to see this new coaching opportunity come to fruition.

Jose Mourinho has been linked to practically every major club in Europe after being sacked by Manchester United. Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Bayern München and even Arsenal have been named as the teams where Mou could pick up his managerial career, but his next destination might be surprising to some, but either way quite interesting.

According to a report by German newspaper Bild, Mourinho has entered negotiations to take Borussia Dortmund's managerial gig, with pressure mounting on coach Lucien Favre.

As of now, the former Nice boss is not under fire, but his failure to win the Bundesliga title last year -when he had a ten-point lead over Bayern at one point of the competition- has not been forgotten by his employers. If things continue their current course, Mourinho would step in to fill his shoes.

The report by Bild states that Mourinho has been contacted by sports director Hans-Joachim Watzke, who has reportedly asked Mourinho to lower his wage demands to make the deal happen. Allegedly, the coach has started taking German lessons to be ready for all developments.

Borussia Dortmund's board believes that the club could benefit from Mourinho's experience, since he could give the club the competitive edge it has lacked in the past few years, when Bayern has dominated almost all competitions in Germany, especially the Bundesliga.

Negotiations are still at an initial stage, but it would certainly be interesting to watch Mou coaching in one more European league. Only time will tell if the Special One is the right fit to rock the Bundesliga.
