The Dutch outfit will get two extra days off while they gear up for the trip to London.

Ajax's chances of qualifying to the UEFA Champions League Final have been massively boosted after the Dutch FA canceled a full round of Eredivisie matches ahead of their semi final encounter with Tottenham Hotspur. The current league leaders were to play De Graafschap on Sunday, April 28, but will now get the day off before traveling to London on April 30.

Ajax secured its ticket to the Last 4 stage of the European cup competition by earning a shocking victory over Juventus in Turin on Tuesday. With a 3-2 aggregate win, the Dutch outfit remarkably reached the semi-finals of the competition for the first time since 1997.

In a statement, the Dutch FA said the decision to cancel all the fixtures was made to give Ajax "at least two full days of rest between games".

"Not only Ajax, but all Dutch football benefits from this," it added.

Also, all the matches were canceled to prevent Ajax and De Graafschap from compromising the league season. Instead, they may play on Wednesday, May 15 if the authorities and police agree to the date changes.

At the moment, Erik ten Hag's men are in close contest with PSV Eindhoven for the Dutch Eredivisie title. Both teams are level with 74 points with just four matches remain to play although Ajax has a superior goal difference.
