Arsene Wenger could be back in a new dugout as early as January 2019.

Former manager of Arsenal Arsene Wenger has revealed that he is ready to take charge of another club. The conclusion of the 2017/2018 season saw the 68-year-old manager bring an end to a 22-year spell with the Gunners.

Despite enduring a salvo of disparagements from fans and pundits alike in the latter days of his coaching career at Arsenal, Wenger ended with three Premier League titles and a record-seven FA Cups.

In an interview with German newspaper Bild on Wednesday, he declared his readiness for another coaching challenge.

"I believe (I will) start again on Jan. 1. I don't know (where) yet.

"There are associations, national teams, it could be also in Japan," added the 68-year-old who was briefly in-charge of Japanese club Nagoya Grampus Eight before moving to Arsenal.

"From my 22 years at Arsenal, I have big experience on different levels. There are enquiries from all over the world."

With no top club in the premiership momentarily lacking an able manager, a return for Arsene Wenger is seemingly off the cards. Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain is among the clubs linked with the former Arsenal boss with speculations tipping him for the position of sporting director.

However, the scenario is unlikely to play out with Wenger's comments creating a conflict. A recent editorial by ESPN highlighted that an appointment of this sort by Paris Saint-Germain could only materialize after January, sharply contrasting the French managers latest comment.

Furthermore, with the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Barcelona all in a bit of a sticky situation regarding their respective managements, it will be fascinating if Wenger is given the keys to any of these powerhouses.
