On Sunday night, the PFA awards were handed out in a ceremony in London. Unsurprisingly, Mohamed Salah was the big winner as he clinched the Professional Footballers' Association Players' Player of the Year prize.
The Egyptian ace was one of several players nominated for this award, but the Liverpool star beat the likes of Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane to scoop up the accolade. Given the former Roma ace’s form this season, none can claim he doesn’t deserve this recognition.
In his debut season for the Reds, he has made 33 appearances so far and has scored 31 times with three more league games to go. If he scores
Salah joins a list of elite Liverpool players
Not many Anfield aces have won this award. In fact, none have since Luis Suarez back in 2014. Additionally, the Egyptian ace is only the seventh Liverpool player to earn this title.
Salah should be proud of this achievement given the caliber of players who came before him and won this award.
7 – Mohamed Salah is the seventh different Liverpool player to win the PFA Player of the Year award.

Klopp’s touching and funny message for Salah
Klopp sent a congratulatory video for the 25-year-old in which he initially lavished him with praise. The German boss then ended it on a funny note, ordering the attacker to return back ASAP for the upcoming Champions League semi-final game.
"I think this award, you are voted for from all the other players in all the leagues in England, is an unbelievable honour so you can be really proud and your family can be really proud."
