ESPN announce live schedule for all 16 matches of the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup

Watch all 15 matches of the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup live on ESPN networks this June!Miami Beach, Florida (May 9, 2013) – FIFA Confederations Cup football comes to you live from Brazil in June as ESPN networks promise to live stream all matches between June 15 and June 30, 2013. The world will witness a preview of what to anticipate at the World Cup next year with the likes of Neymar, Mario Balotelli, Juan Mata, Javier Hernandez and company poised to star in the competition. This summer, eight teams from six different zones will contest for the coveted trophy. The participants are: hosts Brazil and 2011 Copa America champions Uruguay (CONMEBOL), Euro 2012 runners-up Italy and champions Spain (UEFA), 2011 Asian Cup winners Japan (AFC), 2011 Gold Cup winners Mexico (CONCACAF), 2013 AFCON champions Nigeria (CAF) and 2012 OFC Nations Cup surprise winners Tahiti (OFC).

The 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup tournament is divided into two groups. Group A contains Brazil, Mexico, Italy and Japan. Group B has Spain, Uruguay, Nigeria and Tahiti. As of the date of ESPN’s fixtures list announcement, May 9, the FIFA World Ranking sees Spain on top of the chart above Italy (8th), Mexico (16th), Uruguay (17th), Brazil (19th), Nigeria (28th), Japan (30th) and Tahiti (135th).

Thirteen of the 16 matches will be streamed live on both ESPN and Watch ESPN. This package includes the grand finale, the two semi-finals and 10 group stage battles such as Spain vs Uruguay, Brazil vs Mexico, and Nigeria vs Spain among others. 

Note that WatchESPN will telecast all matches apart from Italy vs Brazil at 14:30 EST on Saturday, June 22, 2013. This blockbuster clash will be available on ESPNEWS. Meanwhile, ESPN2 will assume live coverage for two fixtures: Uruguay vs Tahiti at 14:30 EST on Sunday, June 23 and the Third-Place match at 11:45am EST on Sunday, June 30.
