David de Gea set to become Manchester United's best-paid player

Manchester United execs have grown tired of having their goalkeeper David De Gea being tempted by other European clubs, and apparently they will make a move to prevent a transfer saga like the one that took place a couple of years ago.

According to a report by the Express, Ed Woodward and Manchester United's hierarchy are ready to increase De Gea's wage to £300,000 a week, making him the best paid payer in the team along with record-signing Paul Pogba.

As of now, De Gea's deal with the Red Devils expires by the end of the 2018-19 season, but in order to fend off Real Madrid's interest in signing the goalkeeper, José Mourinho and his bosses want to get ahead and keep the Spaniard around.
