On Sunday, Chelsea and Arsenal locked horns in a highly-anticipated London derby. The two teams, fresh off wins in Europe, prepared to clash at Stamford Bridge in an attempt to keep up pressure on the two Manchester giants.
There was plenty of excitement in the game, but none were able to break the deadlock. 90 minutes passed, and Michael Oliver blew the final whistle to end the game 0-0.
Whilst both sides could have walked away with three points, they both reached personal feat. Unfortunately for the Blues, theirs was nothing to be proud of.
Sunday’s clash with Wenger’s side is the first time under Antonio Conte that the defending champions failed to score at home. This is definitely a positive for Le Prof, as it shows his regularly chaotic defenders can perform at the top level.

The Gunners had more reason to smile after their performance. This was the first time since 2005 that the north London outfit came out of Stamford Bridge with a clean sheet.

Arsenal still have not won in that stadium since beating Chelsea 5-3 thanks to a Robin van Persie hat-trick. Nonetheless, this performance will give Wenger’s men more confidence against their top six rivals.
